Since the 1990 inception of La Grande Affaire, this annual black-tie gala has celebrated the best of France's gourmet cuisines and wines while raising funds for priority needs of California Hospital Medical Center. Proceeds from the 2011 gala, which focused on the Côte d'Azur region, benefitted the expansion of the hospital's cardiac care program.
Following a cocktail reception, guests enjoyed an extraordinary five-course culinary experience, prepared by members of the Club Culinaire of French Cuisine, including Jeremy Berlin, Marius Blin, Nona Sivley and Yvan Valentin. Wines selected by Regency Wines' Bruno Laclotte accompanied each course.
Held each fall on the third Thursday of November, this distinctive event--which also features silent and live auctions, an opportunity drawing and live musical entertainment--draws 400-500 of Los Angeles' top business and community leaders.
