New Infant Warmers Funded through Philanthropic Support
In December 2008, the Foundation wrote to friends and supporters about a special need at the hospital: funding to help purchase new infant warmers for the Labor and Delivery department. The warmers provide gentle, life-saving heat for newborns experiencing respiratory distress or other critical conditions.
The hospital's current warmers are more than 20 years old and are no longer supported by the manufacturer. The cost of each new warmer is only $8,295, and the hospital was seeking to purchase four units. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we will be able to purchase all four units, ensuring the best possible start in life for our smallest patients. Special thanks go to the Auxiliary of CHMC for providing the final dollars needed to complete this campaign.
