California Hospital Medical Center has received notification from First 5 LA of a $9.4 million, five-year grant award to provide universal home visitation to every family that delivers at our hospital.
The Welcome, Baby! program is designed to help improve the number of women who successfully breastfeed their infants and promote healthy child development in the first year of life. Modeled after a program in Great Britain, this pilot project, if successful, will be expanded throughout Los Angeles County.
