Funding Need for Pediatrics Met Through Donor Generosity

Our 2009 year-end appeal highlighted the need for 12 new sleeper chairs for the Pediatrics department, so that parents can stay overnight at the bedside of their sick child. The chairs cost $1,700 each including shipping and sales tax, for a total funding need of $20,400.
We are pleased to report that all needed funds have been secured, thanks to individual donors, the California Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, and the Auxiliary of CHMC. We are grateful to these donors for helping to give the gift of warmth and caring to our young patients and their families.
