World Gratitude Day is next week!

On Monday, September 21 we plan to stop what we’re doing and take a moment to be grateful for you and everyone who contributes to our culture of gratitude. We invite you to join us and find something in that moment to be grateful for.

At California Hospital Medical Center we recognize the importance of expressing gratitude on a daily basis. Gratitude to our physicians, clinicians, and staff for their dedicated work. Gratitude from our patients, their families, and visitors who voice their thanks for the kindness they experience throughout our ministry. Gratitude to our supporters who believe in our mission and vision for a healthy and happy future for everyone.

We are so thankful for the outpouring of support from our community and are especially grateful for two incredible donations received last week.

Thank you Frontline Foods

Frontline Foods LA, a non-profit that was started to feed healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been donating meals to California Hospital almost every week for the past six months. Just last week, in honor of 9/11, they donated 500 meals to our staff, and this week they are donating 100 more!

It has been a tremendous encouragement that even after all of this time, Frontline Foods LA is still serving the community, doing what they can to help us fight this virus.

THANK YOU FRONTLINE FOODS LA for giving us delicious meals to keep our bodies healthy and strong for this fight.

COVID Tech Connect:

Thank you COVID Tech Connect

Dr. Joe Kim, Chief Medical Officer, takes a moment to thank COVID Tech Connect for their generosity.

In order to keep the community safe, the hospital has had to make a difficult decision to limit visitors, which means patients are unable to have their loved ones near their bedside. This has meant that patients need to rely on a phone or tablet in order to communicate, which not everyone has.

On September 8, CHMC was the beneficiary of 15 Google Slate tablets from COVID Tech Connect! Started by a group of volunteers to unite isolated COVID patients with their loved ones, COVID Tech Connect has made it their mission to equip hospitals and senior care facilities with smart devices.

These tablets will facilitate video calls between hospitalized COVID patients and their families which will promote healing.

Celebrate with us and share your gratitude for the people and events in your life and our community.
