High School Volunteer Opportunities

High School Students (ages 14 – 17)

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at California Hospital Medical Center. High School students are screened and accepted once a year. The first step in becoming a volunteer is to attend a mandatory "Volunteer Introductory Meeting" with a parent or guardian. You may choose one of the following, reservations are not necessary.

Join us for one of our introductory meetings below:

Monday, March 4, 2019, 6pm-7pm
Tuesday, March 5, 2019, 6pm-7pm
Wednesday, March 6, 2019, 6pm-7pm
Thursday, March 7, 2019, 6pm-7pm

The meetings will take place in Keck Hall, which is located on the first floor of Leavey Hall. Parking at Joe's Parking (located at the corner of Venice Blvd. and Grand Ave.) will be validated. To see a map, click here

During this meeting, volunteer expectations and requirements will be reviewed. You and your parent or guardian are required to attend (brothers and sisters are not acceptable substitutes). At the conclusion of the meeting, candidates interested in the program will receive an application and have an opportunity to schedule a personal interview.

The meetings will start promptly at 6pm. Latecomers will not be admitted.

Again, we thank you for selecting California Hospital Medical Center as the place to get involved in your community. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at (213) 742-5707/

Sincerely,

Tracy Nordbak
Director, Volunteer Services Department
