16th Annual California Hospital Golf Classic raises over $180,000 to advance health equity in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (Oct. 4, 2023) — The 16th Annual California Hospital Golf Classic raised over $180,000 for Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC). 100% of event proceeds will go toward CHMC's mission to advance health equity in Los Angeles.

Guests enjoyed a gorgeous day at Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort with 18 holes of golf, a silent auction, an opportunity drawing, and an awards reception featuring special guests Dr. Reginald Jones, Chair of the Department of Surgery at CHMC, and grateful patient Ali Zafar-Khan. Dr. Jones, a trauma surgeon, was born at CHMC and shared his journey growing up in South Central Los Angeles, completing medical school at Howard University and having a full circle moment returning to CHMC to give back to his community.
