Honoring healing through art, nature and legacy
On April 24, California Hospital dedicated the Dr. Bernie Lewinsky Healing Garden, a space that embodies humankindness, empathy, and the power of holistic healing. A radiation oncologist at California Hospital for more than 20 years, Dr. Lewinsky believes deeply that healing extends beyond medical treatment—and that art and nature are medicine in their own right.
Through decades of compassionate care, Dr. Lewinsky helped patients find moments of peace and reflection during some of life’s most difficult journeys. The Healing Garden, displaying his landscape photography, honors his extraordinary legacy as both a physician and philanthropist, celebrating the belief that every patient
deserves not only exceptional medical care, but also beauty, stillness and comfort.
This garden stands as a living reminder of the lasting impact one individual can make. By including California Hospital in your legacy plans, you also can help ensure future generations of patients experience our healing spaces and compassionate care.
