Hope for the Holidays raises over $100K, supports 74 families in 2024

As we reflect on the warmth and generosity of the holiday season, we're thrilled to share the resounding success of the 2024 Hope for the Holidays campaign, benefiting the Hope Street Margolis Family Center at California Hospital Medical Center. This year's campaign exceeded expectations, bringing joy and support to countless families and children in need.

CHMC Operations Team donating gifts for Hope for the Holidays The cornerstone of Hope for the Holidays is the Celebrate a Family program, which provides holiday gifts to families facing hardship. This year, 74 families received gifts, ensuring that the magic of the holidays reached those who needed it most. Beyond individual families, the campaign also focused on bringing holiday cheer to the wider community, with over 2,000 toys distributed to children.

But the impact of Hope for the Holidays extends far beyond the immediate joy of gifts and toys. The campaign also serves as a crucial fundraising initiative for vital programs at Hope Street. This year's fundraising efforts were particularly successful, raising over $104,000 through two key fundraising streams:

Emergency Family Assistance Fund: This fund provides critical support to families facing unexpected crises, ensuring they have access to essential resources throughout the year. The 2024 Hope for the Holidays campaign raised $33,752 for this vital cause.
Summer of Science and After-School Programs: These programs provide enriching educational opportunities for children, fostering their growth and development. The campaign raised $71,025 to support these crucial programs.
